The Brooklyn Armory (Located on Atlantic Ave and Bedford Street in Crown Heights) was the second armory adaptive reuse project that developers Young Woo hired ORE to design. Smaller than the Kingsbridge armory, the Brooklyn Armory’s drill hall still afforded ample room for multiple programs to operate concurrently, namely public market, Brooklyn Nets practice facility, and the world’s largest indoor climbing wall. The NYC Economic Development Corporation chose this as the winning proposal.
