Leveraging Luxury Design with Cost-Effective Prefabrication – Downtown Brooklyn, NY
Corbel is ORE’s response to reclaiming brick as a high design construction material. Downtown Brooklyn has a rich history of masonry construction.
The facade panels are composed of 4 patterns of simplified brick geometry, pre-cast off-site into a mortar bed, assembled as window wall units and then used to rapid clad the site-built structure. The small number of custom patterns, and faster-than-site-built cladding method allow for a dynamic masonry skin to be done for a fraction of construction cost.
